For the first time in 20 years, Justin Verlander, arguably the best pitcher in the game of baseball, won both the AL Cy Young Award and MVP Award during the 2011 MLB season. Not since former Oakland Athletics pitcher Dennis Eckersley in 1992 has anyone come close to this achievement.
Every baseball fan knows he is arguably the most feared pitcher in the game, but apparently he is psychic as well. Only one question remains with Mr. Verlander: Is there anything you can’t do?
Prior to the big game on Sunday, Verlander tweeted the exact same score and outcome of the game:
21-17 prediction #proudwinner
Humorously enough, Verlander even had his share of comments about the halftime show, most notably on Madonna:
Thought Madonna was tanking… She killed it at the end though. Can’t miss up the classics.
Yes, 21-17 is a fairly common score in the NFL, but it was still the correct prediction. It’ll be interesting to see what Verlander predicts for the NBA Finals or Stanley Cup. If only Verlander were to pick the Yankees to win the World Series this year….
